Prinsesse Thyra Island is an uninhabited island of Greenland with an area of 295 square kilometres (114 sq mi). It was part of Avannaa, originally Nordgrønland ("North Greenland"), a former county of Greenland until 31 December 2008, and is located north-northeast of Greenland in the Wandel Sea, within Northeast Greenland National Park.[1] The island has an area of 294.8 km ² and has a shoreline of 85.7 kilometres.[2]
