- James Henderson Imlay (November 26, 1764 – March 6, 1823), served as U.S. Representative from New Jersey, 1797-1801, where served at-large from 1797-99 and reperesented New Jersey's 4th congressional district from 1799-1801.
- William Augustus Newell (September 5, 1817, Franklin, Ohio – August 8, 1901, Allentown, New Jersey), physician and politician, who was a three-term member of the United States House of Representatives, served as a Republican as the 18th Governor of New Jersey, and as Governor of the Washington Territory from 1880-1884.
