PowerMTA

PowerMTA is an enterprise-class email delivery application that's deployed by many of email service providers (ESPs). The software is capable of delivering millions of emails per hour. Developed by Port25 Solutions, Inc., PowerMTA was first released in 1999.[1] Designed for commercial mail senders,[2] PowerMTA counts GoDaddy, NYTimes and Living Social as clients.

The downloadable software is supported on Windows, Linux and Solaris operating environments.[3]

Message Systems acquired PowerMTA developer Port25 on February 5, 2015, with plans to continue offering the software to SME customers who prefer an on-premises solution. Message Systems sells SparkPost, which it developed in-house, to SME customers who need a cloud-based email solution.[4]
