Billboard Album Chart

After the surprisingly disappointing sales of his previous album I'll Buy You a Star with Nelson Riddle, Mathis was back on sales track with this album peaking at #2 on the Billboard album chart in its original release, his fourteenth consecutive album to chart.[1]

Highlights

From the stunning opening track "Starbright", which culminates with a perfectly placed high note through to two Nelson Riddle arranged ballads, "Jenny" and "Should I Wait (Or Should I Run to Her)", and an obligatory showtune, "How to Handle a Woman" from 1960's Camelot, this is a fine selection of Mathis singles work of the period. Although revered for his ballads, Mathis proved conclusively that he could swing with two fabulous uptempo cuts included on this album, "All Is Well" and "Hey Love".
