Popielno [pɔˈpjɛlnɔ] (German: Spirding; until 1928: Popiellnen) is a settlement in the administrative district of Gmina Ruciane-Nida, within Pisz County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 13 kilometres (8 mi) north of Ruciane-Nida, 20 km (12 mi) north-west of Pisz, and 74 km (46 mi) east of the regional capital Olsztyn.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (East Prussia). Following World War II the native German populace was expelled and replaced by Poles.
The settlement has a population of 180.
