Poetry International Web

Originally launched as Poetry International Web in 2002, the current website of the Poetry International Foundation (based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands) merges the Foundation's Dutch-language and English-language websites, alongside its annual festival's website. The Poetry International website publishes and archives thousands of poems by acclaimed contemporary poets from all around the world, both in the original language and in translation.[1] It also features audio and video recordings of the poets reading their own work. Poets featured in the archives include John Ashbery, Elizabeth Bishop, Yves Bonnefoy, Joseph Brodsky, Kwame Dawes, Allen Ginsberg, Seamus Heaney, Judith Herzberg, Hiromi Ito, Dunya Mikhail, Pablo Neruda, Vikram Seth, Galsan Tschinag and Uljana Wolf.

Published poets are selected by Poetry International's national editors, based in their countries and often in collaboration with the major national poetry organization (such as the Poetry Foundation in the USA, Poetry East West in China, and the Poetry Society in the UK). Otherwise, the poets are published on the website because they have been invited as performers for the annual Poetry International Festival.[2]

The website also provides information about the Festival's schedule and affiliated events, other activities run by the organization, as well as news, feature articles, interviews and links to other poetry organizations.
