Plantago ovata (known as blond plantain,[1] desert Indianwheat (इसबगोल) , blond psyllium) is a medicinal plant native to Western Asia and Southern Asia. The plant can be found growing wild in the southwestern United States, where it is considered a possibly introduced species.[2]
It is a common source of psyllium seed husks, a material used as dietary fiber.[3]
