Pierre-Luc Dubois (born June 24, 1998) is a Canadian ice hockey player. He is currently playing with the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles of the QMJHL. Dubois is projected to be a top prospect at the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.[1]

Playing career

Junior

Dubois was drafted by the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles in the 1st round (5th overall) of the 2014 QMJHL Entry Draft, and has played with the Screaming Eagles since the 2014–15 QMJHL season. In his rookie season, Dubois was the league's top scoring 16 year old.[2]

International

On December 1st, 2015, Dubois was announced as one of 30 players invited to the team Canada selection camp for the 2016 World Junior Hockey Championships. He was one of only two 17-year-olds invited.[3]

Personal

Dubois is a dual citizen of Canada and the United States, with his mother being born and raised in Georgia. His father, Eric Dubois, is a former professional ice hockey player and is currently assistant coach of Rimouski Océanic of the QMJHL. In his youth, Pierre-Luc traveled around Europe watching father play in England and Germany.
