Phillip Anthony Barresi (born 8 August 1955), Australian politician, was a Liberal member of the Australian House of Representatives from March 1996 to November 2007 representing the Division of Deakin, Victoria. He was born in Patti, Sicily, and was educated at the Australian National University and Swinburne University (then the Swinburne Institute of Technology). He was a psychologist, training officer and consultant before entering politics. He was defeated by Mike Symon of the Labor party in the 2007 election. Barresi again contested Deakin for the Liberals at the 2010 election but was defeated in a rematch with Symon.
He now is National Employment Relations Director for the Australian Retailers Association.[1]
