Philippines at 2nd tier beauty pageants

This is a list of the Philippines' representatives and their placements at the 2nd Tier international beauty pageants, considered important in their respective pageants.

First off, Miss Tourism International. There were 4 different versions of Miss Tourism International,

There was the Miss Tourism International (Macau version) which the Philippines had won in 1997 (Joanne Santos, Binibining Pilipinas Universe 1995),

The Miss Tourism International (Anatolya Turkish version) which the Philippines had won in 2001 (Michelle Cuevas Reyes, Binibining Pilipinas 1st Runner-up 2001),

The Miss Tourism International Black Sea (Ukrainian version) which the Philippines had won in 2002 (Kristine Alzar, Binibining Pilipinas International 2002).

The Miss Tourism International (Malaysian version)[1] is the only one currently existing. The Philippines won three Miss Tourism International crowns: Maria Esperanza Corazon Manzano (2000-2001), Rizzini Alexis Gomez (2012-2013), and Angeli Dione Gomez (2013-2014) with the third back to back winnings in Philippines' pageant history after Miss Asia 1982 and 1983 and World Miss University 1998 and 1999).

The Philippines won three Tourism Queen of the Year International titles: Sherylle Lynne Santarin (1996) and Racquel Uy (1999) and Leren Mae Bautista (2015). Miss Tourism Queen of the Year International is another Malaysian-based beauty pageant which started a year earlier than Miss Tourism International.

In the year 2015 for the Miss Intercontinental, Christi Lynn McGarry of Binibining Pilipinas-Intercontinental was sent to Magdeburg, Germany to represent the Philippines at the Miss Intercontinental 2015 will be the 44th edition of Miss Intercontinental pageant, held on 18 December at the Grand Ballroom in the Maritim Congress Hotel in Magdeburg, Germany.. She is the first Filipina to win as first-runner up and Continental Queen of Asia & Oceania after long years of waiting. On 2010 Christi Lynn McGarry was sent also by Mutya ng Pilipinas-Intercontinental to compete at the Miss Intercontinental 2010 pageant but Ended as one of the Semi-finalists, Top 15 and Continental Queen of Asia & the Pacific during the pageant night. She is the only Filipina to compete on the same title that is why a lot is at stake for our statuesque representative because this is her second time joining the same pageant.

For the Miss Supranational, Mutya Datul was sent to Minsk to represent the Philippines at the Miss Supranational 2013 pageant on September 6, 2013. She was awarded as Miss Supranational Personality in one of the pre-coronation events. She is the first Asian and Filipina to win the title. And also the first Asian country to captured the crown within 5 years.

Another title is Miss Globe which was first established in 1973 with its home-base in Tirana, Albania. The 2015 edition was held in Toronto, Canada on the night of October 8, 2015 at the Rose Theater Brampton, Miss Ann Lorraine Colis was officially and unanimously crowned as Miss Globe 2015.[2][3]

Miss Globe International is another Globe-related pageant based in Istanbul, Turkey which was initially established in 1925. The Philippines won the title in 2001. Bb. Pilipinas 2nd Runner-up, Maricar Balagtas was appointed as Bb. Pilipinas Globe competed at Miss Globe International 2001 in Istanbul, Turkey in the same year and win and was crowned Miss Globe International 2001.

Miss Global, with a slogan "Empowering women, Embracing cultures, and Embodying the beauty within", was founded in 2012 that is advocating tourism and women empowerment. With its local counter part Miss Global Philippines , its 2nd year in search of candidates who will represent the country to show the world the unique Filipina beauty, intellect and grace.

It is also the first time for the country to win four titles in a year: two Top Tiered crowns (Miss World 2013 and Miss International 2013), two for 2nd Tiered crowns (Miss Tourism International 2013-2014 and Miss Supranational 2013).
