Philippe de la Chambre

Philippe de La Chambre (c. 1490 – 1550) was a French Benedictine and Cardinal.

He was abbot of Corbie in 1523, a contested position.[1] He was made Cardinal in 1533, in a group of French churchmen (Jean Le Veneur, Odet de Coligny, Claude de Givry).[2]

He was bishop of Belley in 1535, Bishop of Frascati in 1543, and bishop of Quimper in 1546.

Family

His father was Louis de la Chambre, vicomte de Maurienne.
