Peter Hugh Davids (born 22 November 1947) (PhD, Victoria University of Manchester) is an Canadian theologian. He is Professor of Christianity at Houston Baptist University.[1] He has also taught biblical studies at both Regent College, Vancouver, British Columbia and Canadian Theological Seminary, Regina, Saskatchewan.
He has a BA (Wheaton College, 1968) a M.Div. (Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, 1971) and his PhD (Victoria University of Manchester, 1974)
He is author of major commentaries on James and 1 Peter. He was ordained priest in the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter (i.e. Anglican use) in 2014.[2]
