Peter Škantár (born 20 July 1982 in Kežmarok) is a Slovak slalom canoeist who has competed since the late 1990s along with his cousin Ladislav Škantár in the C-2 category. He won nine medals at the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships with a gold (C-2 team: 2009), four silvers (C-2: 2009; C-2 team: 2011, 2013, 2014) and four bronzes (C-2: 2011, 2013, 2014; C-2 team: 2007).
He won the overall World Cup title in the C-2 category in 2009, 2010 and 2014.
At the European Championships he has won a total of 12 medals (6 golds, 1 silver and 5 bronzes).
