Perini Navi is an Italian shipyard based in Viareggio, Italy. Founded by Fabio Perini in 1983, it builds luxury yachts, mainly large ketchs, many of which have been designed by Ron Holland. Shipbuilding is carried out in Istanbul, most of the outfitting is carried out in Viareggio, and maintenance is carried out nearby in La Spezia, where the historic Beconcini and Picchiotti shipyards were acquired in the 2000s. A new brand of motor yachts from La Spezia is now promoted under the brand Briand/Vitruvius.
Perini Navi's largest project was the 88m Maltese Falcon for repeat client Tom Perkins.[1] Other owners include Rupert Murdoch, Silvio Berlusconi, Turgay Ciner, Gerhard Andlinger, Larry Ellison, George Economou, Massimo Moratti, Bertram R.C. Rickmers and Kenneth P. Weiss.
