PeopleBrowsr is a San Francisco based technology company that provides enterprise, government and Top Level Domain (TLD) owners with their own Instant Collaborative Networks.

PeopleBrowsr is also the owner, and Registry operator of three generic Top Level Domains (gTLD’s), including; dotCEO, dotBest and dotKred.

History

PeopleBrowsr was founded in 2008, with a view to provide social media analytics services. In December 2008 PeopleBrowsr launched Playground, a deep search analytics dashboard designed to help users manage their social presence, and engage their social followers.

In October 2011 PeopleBrowsr debuted Kred, an online social influence metric. Between 2008 and 2014 PeopleBrowsr was one of the only companies in the world to receive the full Twitter firehose, which the company indexed and analysed in real time. Between 2008 and 2014 PeopleBrowsr indexed and analysed more than trillion conversations. On August 21, 2012, PeopleBrowsr launched Kred Story, providing Kred users with the ability to view their entire social presence in one location. In June 2015, PeopleBrowsr launched the Kred Community Platform, providing Kred users with the ability to monitor, and improve their online influence score.

In March 2013 PeopleBrowsr applied for, and was subsequently granted approval by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) to operate the gTLD’s dotCEO, dotBest and dotKred.

In June 2013 PeopleBrowsr launched SocialOS, a rich set of API’s that are designed to bridge existing social network, and facilitate the rapid deployment of content into thematic vertical social networks. SocialOS is PeopleBrowsr's core technology, empowering individuals, government and enterprise to rapidly deploy vertical social networks and innovative Social Apps.

Since 2013 PeopleBrowsr has been focused on the distribution of SocialOS within the financial services and gTLD industries. PeopleBrowsr is currently in the process of deploying its SocialOS technology to build vertical social networks for a number of gTLD’s, including dotClub, dotLove, dotBuild, UK.com., dotTickets, dotBank, dotDesign, dotGlobal, dotCEO, dotBest and dotKred.

Kred

Kred is both a Score and Platform for online Influencers. Kred Scores enable Facebook and Twitter users to discover how influential they are online based on a carefully developed transparent algorithm that scores each of a users incoming (Influence) and outgoing (Outreach) actions on social media. The Kred platform is designed to help Kred users to grow their online influence by providing them with add-ons to do so. The 'Communitisation' tool also allows users to discover what online communities they belong to and are the most influential in based on a keyword algorithm run through their social content and bios.

Social OS

In June 2013 PeopleBrowsr launched SocialOS, a set of APIs which bridges existing networks and enables new social networks to be rapidly deployed. SocialOS is PeopleBrowsr's core technology, empowering individuals, government and enterprise to rapidly build vertical social networks and innovative Social Apps. Customers with needs extending beyond existing SocialOS Apps are supported to develop their own, which seamlessly integrate with their existing assets. Activating the emerging generic Top Level Domain (gTLD) space, SocialOS provides Registries, Registrars and Registrants the ability to generate and join focused social platforms that engage their specific audience. Brands are engaging SocialOS as an internal communications platform that ensures real-time messaging between teams in multiple offices and departments.

dotCEO

.CEO is the Top Level Domain (TLD) and online Identity of CEOs, Executives and Entrepreneurs. .CEO domains instantly identify individuals as professionals and connects them via a online Platform.  By purchasing their name followed by .CEO (ie. JodeeRich.CEO), users of dotCEO are both securing their online identity and helping to boost their personal brand and overall online presence. By purchasing acess to the .CEO platform, which is accompanied by a personalised .CEO URL, users have access to 35+ geographic and interest based Communities, unlimited access to CEO specific content streams and the ability to connect with other members.

dotBest

.Best is the only Top Level Domain (TLD) that can help businesses, and individuals with high public profiles, boost their online presence. .Best provides owners with a searchable and memorable URL. .Best URL’s have been identified as a valuable Search Engine Optimization (SEO) tool, providing owners with the ability to dramatically improve their search engine ranking. By utilizing Kred Influence Measurement tools, .Best URL owners have the ability to track their online influence, and compare it with their competitors.

TLD Platform

PeopleBrowsr has developed a single TLD Inbound Marketing Platform to help the growing gTLD community improve their end-to-end customer experience. The TLD Inbound Marketing Platform is designed to identify new leads, improve customer retention and ensure that all domains are properly resolving. Using the TLD Inbound Marketing Platform, registry operators can provide domain registrants with access to online Communities, powered by SocialOS.

Grab

Building on the rich SocialOS API platform, PeopleBrowsr recently launched Grab. Grab provides users with the ability to “grab” content from their multiple social accounts, and populate it into one location.  A Grab can be created in less than one minute, and is designed to compliment a user’s multi-social-platform presence, rather than replace it. Grab has been integrated with a number of enterprise grade marketing and sales platforms, providing both individuals and enterprise with the ability to transform their contact lists into a self-branded vertical social network.

Top Level Domains

PeopleBrowsr owns Top Level Domains dotCEO, dotBEST and dotKred.[6] These gTLD’s are available for purchase via a registrar retail network. PeopleBrowsr has also created a vertical direct-to-consumer retail channel, infused with its SocialOS technology.

Experimental projects

PeopleBrowsr is engaged in research projects including the development of artificial intelligence and new social networking platforms.[7] PeopleBrowsr CEO Jodee Rich believes that the documenting of history in real time with social networking platforms is creating a wealth of data that can be used to help computers better understand human behavior. In this way, machines can be trained to mine the human data to learn behavior, rather than having to be taught how to think like humans.[8]

Litigation

In November 2012, PeopleBrowsr sued Twitter over a proposed shutdown of PeopleBrowser's access to the Twitter firehose, which was set to occur on November 30, 2012.[9] After PeopleBrowsr won an injunction to prevent the disconnection of the Twitter firehose, Twitter attempted to move the case into Federal court, which may have invalidated the injunction.[10][11] In March 2013 PeopleBrowsr won a battle to keep the case within the California court system, thereby keeping the injunction in place.[12] Twitter and PeopleBrowsr reached an out-of-court settlement in April 2013.[13]
