Patrick Zielke was the mayor of La Crosse, Wisconsin from 1975 until his retirement in 1997. His twenty two years as mayor are the longest of any mayor in the history of La Crosse.[1]
Politics
Zielke was an employee of the Trane Company in La Crosse. In 1964, he was elected to the position of alderman and in 1966, became alderman of the nineteenth ward. He remained in this capacity until 1975 where he successfully ran for position of mayor. He served from 1975 until 1997.
