Patrick Falterman II (born March 16, 1990)[1] is an American itinerant, travel writer, and canoeist. He is most well known for his writings about hitchhiking and canoeing in Central and South America,[2] and is the creator and writer on "HitchTheWorld.com", where he writes long accounts of his numerous travels.[3]

Amazon

In 2012 Falterman began canoeing in the Amazon Basin, and traveled for a time by a handmade log raft.[4][5][6] He paddled more than 4,000 km in a locally-acquired wooden canoe up twenty Amazonian rivers over the course of two years.
