Pararasbora moltrechti, Moltrecht's minnow, is a species of cyprinid fish endemic to Taiwan. It is the only species in the genus Pararasbora. The Endemic Species Research Institute[1] under the Council of Agriculture[2] of the Executive Yuan in Taiwan has enlisted Pararasbora moltrechti as “precious and rare species” among other endemic freshwater species.[3]
Pararasbora moltrechti are distributed in the middle portion of western Taiwan, where they can be found in Tachia River and Tatu River.[4] Their total body length are usually seen from 4 cm to 8 cm.[4][5]
