Paraguayan Athletics Championships

The Paraguayan Athletics Championships or Campeonato Nacional de Atletismo are several editions of national athletics competitions held annually to determine Paragauay's champion athletes in a range of athletics events.

The competitions are disputed by athletes registered with clubs affiliated with the Federación Paraguaya de Atletismo.

The FPA calendar consists of an Open National Championship competition at the beginning of the year, many National Evaluative and National Inter-Club competitions through out the year and culminates with the Torneo de la Victoria, the FPA's most important athletics competition.[1][2]

All National Athletics Competitions are disputed at the Secretaria Nacional de Deportes, ubicated in the city of Asunción.[3]

History

Out of all Athletics Championships in Paraguay, the most important is the Torneo de la Victoria, which disputes towards the end of the calendar year.[4] The championship forms part of the history of Paraguayan Athletics.[5]
