Pappukutty Bhagavathar (born March 29, 1913) is an Indian film singer and actor in Malayalam cinema.[1] He is the father of Malayalam actor Mohan Jose. Malayalam film director K. G. George is his son-in-law.
Personal life
Pappukutty Bhagavathar was born on March 29, 1913 to Michael and Anna, in Vaippinkara, Kochi.[2] He sang for the 2010 released Marykkundoru Kunjadu at the age of 98, sixty years after he sang his first song for a movie, which made him the oldest Malayalee to sing in a film. The song ‘Entadukke Varum’ was a hit. He is married to Baby. They have two children, actor Mohan Jose and playback singer Selma George. His son-in-law K. G. George is a Malayalam movie director.
