Pancakes! is a YouTube video produced by James Provan, a YouTube user under the name "GiR2007". It was put on YouTube on August 13, 2006. It is a stop-motion video which features Provan making pancakes, and showing the ingredients, while a song entitled "Pancakes" (composed by Provan) plays in the background.

The video took Provan only a week to make, and was shot in Aberdeen, Scotland. The video has been since watched by approximately, 3,312,000 viewers.

Critical acclaim and success

The video was watched by The New York Times and as a result, was featured on Good Morning America.[1][2] The video has become an Internet phenomenon, followed by a sequel entitled Pancakes 2: Pancakes for Your Face.

"Pancakes", the original song featured in the Pancakes! video reached #3 on the Israeli charts.
