The Northwest Association of Independent Schools (NWAIS) is an organization devoted to promoting quality education within independent schools in the Pacific Northwest of the United States and Canada. NWAIS aims to develop comprehensive accreditation standards, to foster collegial and ethical relations among its schools, and to safeguard and represent their interests.
The NWAIS is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools.
NWAIS is one of two major agencies that accredit private schools in the U.S. states of Oregon and Washington.[1] The other is the Northwest Accreditation Commission.[1]
