P S Subramanyam (born in 1950, in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh) is an Indian Aerospace Scientist and served as the Director of Aeronautical Development Agency.[1][2]
Education
He is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Warangal in 1973 and Post graduate in Aeronautical Engineering from Indian Institute of Science in 1975.
Career Profile
He started his career with DRDL, DRDO Defence Research and Development Laboratory in 1975 and worked on various projects and significantly on control, guidance and navigation of IGDMP Integrated Guided Missile Development Programme.
He joined ADA Aeronautical Development Agency in 1986 and was holding various positions before becoming PGD and Director, ADA in 2005. He has been elevated to Distinguished Scientist in July 2007. With his sheer perseverance, he has taken the Light Combat Aircraft program through the Initial Operations Clearance in December 2013 in spite of many technological and organisational challenges. Under his leadership, ADA has grown leaps and bounds to spearhead the following new major programs - LCA AF MK-2, LCA Navy MK-2 and the feasibility study for the following projects - Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft and the Unmanned Combat Aircraft. He is also associated with the National Programme on Micro and Smart Systems (NP-MASS).

- National Design Award in 2011 for his outstanding contribution in the area of design by NDRF of IIE.
- DRDO Performance Excellence Award for the year 2013 from The Prime Minister India Mr. Narendra Modi[3]
- Annual Inspired Indian Foundation Award 2014 for Proactive Leadership In Aerospace from His Excellency Governor of Karnataka.[4]
