P. K. Abdu Rabb is the Minister for Education of the Government of Kerala. He represents the Tirurangadi constituency of Malappuram district in Kerala after winning the 2011 State Election.
Early life
Abdu Rabb was born to All-India Muslim League leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Late K. Avukader Kutty Naha and Kunhibiriyam Umma.
He has his master's degree in English Literature.[1]
Political career
Abdu Rabb was elected to the Legislative Assembly in 1996 and 2001 from Tanur Constituency and in 2006 from Manjeri Constituency of Malappuram district. Abdu Rabb won in Tirurangadi Constituency for Kerala Assembly Election 2011. He became the part of Oommen Chandi lead Ministry and carried the portfolio of Education Minister.

Awards
P K Abdurab and Dr. C V Ananda Bose, Chairman of UN Affiliate Habitat Alliance (UNAHA) are some of the eminent personalities who have been selected for the 2012 Shastri Awards. A special jury set by the Foundation recommended for Shastri Seva Puraskar 2012 for his committed acts such as creating a teacher bank and other revolutionary acts. The awards are made by the Shastri Foundation, set up by a youth group in memory of late Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri.

Nilavilakku (Traditional lamp)
Refusal to light traditional lamp (Nilavilakku] raised as a controversy while inauguration of P.N. Panicker Commemorative program. Actor Mammootty argued with him in this issue on the same stage.
Green controversy
- He issued a circular that directed the female teachers to wear green blouses while attending functions.
- Experimenting with "green boards" in Malappuram, saying such boards are the international norm[2]

But rival parties came against green board and Minister denied that there is no such moves from government.
