Płużnica Wielka [pwuʐˈnit͡sa ˈvjɛlka] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Strzelce Opolskie, within Strzelce County, Opole Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.[1] It lies approximately 13 kilometres (8 mi) east of Strzelce Opolskie and 43 km (27 mi) south-east of the regional capital Opole.

It was the birthplace, in 1824, of Fr. Leopold Moczygemba, who led the migration that founded the Polish settlements of Panna Maria and Bandera, Texas.

Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (see Territorial changes of Poland after World War II).
