History

Beginnings and Recording of their 1st demo (2002 – 2003)

In the year 2000, Pedro Mora and Adolfo Chavez were band mates in a band called “Golpe de Estado”. Adolfo (Bass) meets Eduardo Fletcher (Guitar) who invites him to start a new band which they called “Sin Razón”. They tried different drummers until they contacted their friend Reynaldo Toro composing their first song called “Volver empezar”, influenced by many national and international bands they started playing a Melodic punk style of music and after a short period of time the band’s name was changed to Out-Reazon. A few months later they added new member to the band, Nestor Ayala joined the band as the lead guitar player and he brought heavier musical influences that added a different taste to their musical style. The band started composing more songs with faster beats, heavier and faster guitar riffs; creating “Ya no más” and “Muy lejos”. The band had its debut at a local bar (Ralph’s) and they decided to invite Pedro Mora to sing a Misfits cover (Last Caress), afterwards Pedro joined the band as the lead singer. The band went to the studio for the first time in 2003 and they recorded the songs “Mala actitud” and “Ya no mas”, this gave the band exposure in the local punk scene leading the band to participate in the Panama Rock Awards as nominees for the “Best Punk Band” Category. After a few gigs the band started composing several songs like “Fue un error”, “Today is Monday” and “Mañana es tarde” which are no longer part of their playlist.

Recording of the 2nd demo and changes in the musical style of the band (2004)

In 2004, the band started including heavier riffs in their musical style, they compose “Igualdad Racial” recorded as a demo in Red Light Studios by Vicente Rios Silvestre a.k.a. Quillon. The song had good acceptance and started being played on local radio stations. The band started to receive more invitations to local gigs with bigger bands like Factor VIII, Calibre 57, Caras de Hambre and No ley 55 which were a big influence in their musical style.[1]

Recording of the 3rd demo and Departure of Eduardo Fletcher (2005)

After a few gigs, the band started experimenting with metal riffs and screaming in the lead singing influenced by bands like Atreyu, Bullet for My valentine, Killswitch Engage and also used faster drum beats and vocal harmonies influenced by bands like Strung Out. They went to the studio to record “Congelar el tiempo” and “Piensa otra vez” having good acceptance by the public and local radio stations. Afterwards Eduardo leaves the band because of musical differences.

Roberto Arosemena joins the band, drastic changes in the musical style and Recording of their 1st EP (2006 – 2012)

After Eduardo left the band, Roberto Arosemena, ex guitar player and vocalist for the band Renta 5, joins the band as the new guitar player and back vocalist. His skilled guitar playing brought changed the style of the band making it a lot more complex, heavier and upbeat. They started composing new songs with Roberto, creating mixes between Punk and Metal with screams and lots of harmonies and choruses influenced by Bad Religion. In 2006 the band launched their 1st EP (without a name), with the songs “Vive el recuerdo”, song that talks about not living in the past and let things flow, this song defined the actual musical style of the band with its heavy riffs, guitar and vocals harmonies, screams and breakdowns becoming the favorite song among the public. Other songs included in this EP were “Mi propia tumba”, “Situaciones y mentiras” y “Entre lágrimas y sonrisas”. This EP gave the band a lot more exposure and acceptance inside the Panamanian Rock Scene.

Composing the 1st record, departure of Nestor Ayala, Otto De la Guardia joins the band. (2013)

After a few gigs and the launch of the EP the band was invited to open for the concert of Millencolin, sharing the stage with one of the biggest influences of the band A Wilhelm Scream. In 2012 the band starts the composing process with the idea of making their 1st Record with their characteristic style, starting with the songs “A quien concierne” and “Buscando la verdad”. After a while, due to musical differences, Nestor and the band decided to part ways. Since Reynaldo (Drums) was heavily involved in the song making process he decided to look for a drummer and start playing guitar. Otto De la Guardia ex drummer for the band Propiedad Privada joins the band bringing with him his fast skilled playing.

Recording of “A quien concierne”, Release party and future plans (2013-2014)

With Otto (Drums) in the band, the songs started to get in shape for the album. After a long song creation process, the band started the recording of the album under the production of Reynaldo Toro (Guitar). They launched an Indiegogo crowd funding campaign reaching its goal very fast thanks to their fans, family and friends. Out-Reazon finished the recording of what would be their first album “A quien concierne” and it was sent to The Buzzlounge Studios to be mixed and mastered by Mr. Eric Taft. They released the album on May 30 playing at El Sótano filling it at maximum capacity with the support of their fans. The band is currently working on new songs and planning tours for the promotion of this Album.

Influences and musical Style

Since its beginnings, the band has been mainly catalogued as a Punk Band; however the members of the band prefer not to be labeled as a particular type of band since they define their own style mixing ideas and inspiration of their members.
