Otukaia blacki is a medium-sized deepwater sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Calliostomatidae, the calliostoma top snails.[1]
Nomenclature
In classifications that treat both Otukaia and Maurea as subgenera of Calliostoma, the valid name for this species is Calliostoma alertae Marshall, 1995, since Calliostoma (Otukaia) blacki (Dell, 1956) is preoccupied by Calliostoma (Maurea) blacki (Powell, 1950) [1]
Distribution
This marine species occurs off New Zealand.
