Orr's Hill Vivekananda College (Tamil: உவர்மலை விவேகானந்தா கல்லூரி) is a provincial school in Trincomalee, Sri Lanka.[1]
History
The Orr’s Hill Village Development Society was established by the people of Orr’s Hill. The first stage of work was construction of the school building called "Uvar Malai Tamil School" (Orr’s Hill Tamil School). This school came into being because of S. V. Velupillai, a philanthropist form Trincomalee. The school opened on 10 February 1978 with 150 pupils and four teachers in a thatched roof structure. The first principal was V. Thangavel. The school building was ceremonially opened by R. Sampanthan, M.P. for Trincomalee.
