Omar J. Dorsey (born December 22, 1975) is an American actor.[1]
TV career
Dorsey appeared in the Showtime crime drama, Ray Donovan as Cookie Brown. Before Ray Donovan, he was seen in the Fox comedy, Rake.[2] He also appeared in the HBO comedy series, Eastbound & Down, where he played Dontel Benjamin.[3]
Dorsey’s other TV credits include roles on television shows such as Bones, Rizzoli & Isles and Castle.[3]
Film career
In 2009 Dorsey appeared The Blind Side [4] In 2012, he appeared in Django Unchained.[5]
Dorsey portrays 1960s Civil Rights Movement activist James Orange in the 2014 American drama, Selma, which follows the Selma to Montgomery marches.[6]
Personal life
He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two daughters.[7]
