Oldland Abbotonians F.C. is a semi-professional football club based in Oldland Common, near Bristol, England. For the 2014–15 season, they are members of the Western Football League Division One. The club is affiliated to the Somerset County FA and Gloucestershire County FA.

History

The club was founded as St. Annes (Oldland) at California Road in 1910.[2] The current incarnation of the club was formed from a merger between Oldland and Longwell Green Abbotonians in 1998.[3] Oldland had played in the Gloucestershire County League on-and-off since 1974.[4] Meanwhile, Longwell Green Abbotonians had been playing in the Somerset Senior League since 1985, winning Division One in 1993–94.[5]

The newly formed Oldland Abbotonians started out in the Somerset Senior League Premier Division, but were relegated to Division One in 2000. The club returned to the Premier Division after winning the league in 2004–05. In the 2006–07 season, they finished third in the Somerset County League Premier Division and gained promotion to the Western Football League Division One.[3] In the 2010–11 season, Oldland finished as runners-up in the Western League Division One, but were denied promotion to the Premier Division after their facilities failed to meet the necessary ground grading standards.[6][7]
