Oblix

The commercial name Oblix may refer either to a suite of software designed to manage authentication identity (especially in a web service environment) or to the former company which developed that software.

History: It was started in 1996 by Sandeep Johri, Kumar Vora and Nand Mulchandani and funded by seed investors. Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield & Byers funded the Series A round in 1997. In 1999, Gordon Eubanks left Symantec, then president and CEO, to become president and CEO of Oblix. Oblix was acquired by Oracle in March, 2005 and is now a part of Oracle.
