Nyland (Sussex cricketer)
Nyland (first name and dates unknown) was an English cricketer who played for Sussex during the 1750s and 1760s.
Career
Nyland played for All-England against Dartford in the three first-class matches found in the 1759 sources.[1][2] Dartford won the series 2-1.
There is a possibility of confusion about his name given its similarity to those of Richard Newland, the most famous Sussex cricketer of the time, and Newland's nephew Richard Nyren, whose career had just begun in the 1750s.
