The Milang railway line was a spur line from the Sandergrove station on the Victor Harbor railway line to Milang. The railway opened in 1884 and closed in 1970. The last passenger service was 30 November 1968.[1] The route's remnant bushland has been preserved under a native vegetation heritage agreement known as the Nurragi Conservation Reserve.[2] The reserve provides a wildlife corridor between the Mount Lofty Ranges and Lake Alexandrina.[3]
