Nughedu San Nicolò (Sardinian: Nughèdu Santu Nigola) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Sassari in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 180 kilometres (112 miles) northwest of Cagliari and about 5 kilometres (3 miles) northwest of Sassari. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 972 and an area of 67.8 square kilometres (26.2 sq mi).[1]
