Northern War may refer to:
- Second Northern War (1655–60), between Sweden and its adversaries the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth (1655–60), Russia (1656–58), Brandenburg-Prussia (1657–60), the Habsburg Monarchy (1657–60) and Denmark–Norway (1657–58 and 1658–60)
- Great Northern War (1700–1721), a conflict in which a coalition led by the Tsardom of Russia successfully contested the supremacy of the Swedish Empire in Central, Northern, and Eastern Europe
- Flagstaff War (1845–1846), fought in and around the Bay of Islands, New Zealand
- War in the North (1937), a campaign in the Spanish Civil War
