The North York Rockets was a professional soccer team that competed in the original Canadian Soccer League during its existence from 1987 to 1992.[1] Upon the demise of the CSL, the Rockets joined the National Soccer League.

The Rockets's best result came in 1991 when they defeated the Nova Scotia Clippers with a 9-1 goal aggregrate to advance to the league cup semi-finals.

After the team played in the NSL for the 1993 season, it replaced the Toronto Blizzard in the American Professional Soccer League as the Toronto Rockets for the 1994 season. The Rockets withdrew from the APSL only days before the start of the 1995 season due to a financial dispute with the league's front office.
