Non-stipendiary priest
Non-stipendiary priests or non-stipendiary ministers (NSMs) are religious ministers who do not receive payment for their services, and who usually have alternative employment which provides monetary income with which they can support themselves. There were around 2000 of them in the Church of England at the turn of the 21st century.[1]
They are frequently found in parishes across England, and the former Bishop of Ebbsfleet, the Rt. Revd. Andrew Burnham, was previously an NSM.
