Nilai University (or Nilai U) received full 'university' status and is a private university in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia.[1] The medium of instruction is English. Nilai U has six (6) faculties offering diploma and degree programmes.
Campus and student population
Its 105-acre (0.42 km2) campus is 20 minutes from Kuala Lumpur International Airport and is a half an hour away from capital's city centre. Unlike many of the city campuses, Nilai U has, green campus.
This has led to it being popular amongst local students, and with international applicants who make up approximately 35% of its student population. These international students hail from 40 countries which include Sri Lanka, China, Kazakhstan, Nigeria and Cambodia.

Faculty of Allied Health Sciences
The faculty of Allied Health Sciences was established in Nilai University in 2006. Its primary objective is to produce highly competent practitioners in the health related sciences. There are three programs offered at the moment under this school: Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Nursing, Diploma in Nursing and Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology while the Bachelor of Biomedical Science program is expected to be launched soon.
Faculty of Business
The Faculty of Business is one of the biggest faculty at Nilai University with a student population of more than 800 students. Our student population consists of students from Malaysia, China, India, Pakistan, Khazakstan, Yemen, Zimbabwe and many other countries.
Faculty of Engineering, Science & Technology
The Faculty of Engineering, Science and Technology is headed by a Dean and supported by 4 Heads of Department and the respective Programme Coordinators.
Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism
Nilai U has one of the faculty in the field of Hospitality and Tourism. It has six kitchens, and a 100-seater formal dining restaurant. The kitchens are over 5,000 sq ft (460 m2) and this includes a 100-seater demonstration kitchen where invited industry experts share their expertise with students.
Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences
The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences comprises the Department of Languages and the Department of Social Sciences. The faculty offers two programmes – the Intensive English Programme and the American Degree Program.
Ownership
Nilai U is owned by Nilai Education Sdn Bhd with the Federal Land Development Authority of Malaysia (FELDA) having a 30% stake in the university.
