Nick Jones (born June 26, 1990) is an American professional ice hockey defenceman currently playing for the South Carolina Stingrays of the ECHL.
Jones played collegiate hockey for the Mercyhurst Lakers in the a NCAA Men's Division I Atlantic Hockey conference. In his junior year, Jones's outstanding play was rewarded with a selection to the 2012-13 All-AHA First Team.[1]
On August 27, 2014, Jones was signed to his first professional contract in returning to the Worcester Sharks on a one-year AHL deal.[2] Prior to the 2014–15 season, he was assigned to ECHL club, the Indy Fuel.
In the following off-season on September 3, 2015, Jones was signed to a one-year contract to remain in the ECHL with reigning champions the South Carolina Stingrays.[3]
