Newman Springs (formerly, Soap Creek Springs)[2] is an unincorporated community in Lake County, California.[1] It is located on Soup Creek 15 miles (24 km) north of Clearlake Oaks,[2] at an elevation of 2159 feet (658 m).[1]

The spring waters, containing borax whence the former name "soap", were used by a resort.[2]
