The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (NYS OPRHP) is a state agency within the Executive Department[5] charged with the operation of 215 state parks and historic sites within the U.S. state of New York.[6] As of 2013, the OPRHP manages nearly 335,000 acres (136,000 ha) of public lands and facilities that are visited by approximately 60 million visitors each year.[2]
Among OPRHP's properties is Niagara Falls State Park, the first state park established in the United States.[2]
