New Bern Municipal Building, also known as the United States Post Office, is a historic municipal building located at New Bern, Craven County, North Carolina. It was built in 1897, and is a 3 1/2-story, brick and granite building with a 2 1/2-story wing in the Romanesque Revival style. The building has hipped roofs with dormers. It features a bulky outsized square clock tower with a pyramidal roof. It was constructed under the direction of the Office of the Supervising Architect to serve as a United States Post Office, Courthouse, and Customs House. It became the municipal building in 1936.[2]
It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.[1]
