NetworkVirginia
NetworkVirginia is an advanced, broadband network delivering Internet and intranet services within the Commonwealth of Virginia. It is the result of a project led by Virginia Tech in association with Old Dominion University and the Virginia Community College System to develop universal access to competitive, advanced digital communications services for all of Virginia.
NetworkVirginia also provides links for Virginia sites to Internet2 and National LambdaRail through the Mid Atlantic Terascale Partnership. A wide variety of state agencies, libraries, museums, school systems, and even businesses participate in NetworkVirginia. The infrastructure is provided by Verizon and Sprint.
