Nelsi Morais is a retired Brazilian professional footballer who played in the North American Soccer League.
In 1975, the New York Cosmos signed Morais on the recommendation of Pele, but Morais saw no first team games that season. He went on to play for the Cosmos until 1980. He returned to the Cosmos briefly for the 1981–82 indoor season appearing in seven matches. Morais later played one season for the New Jersey Eagles of the American Professional Soccer League alongside former Cosmos teammates, Hubert Birkenmeier and Andranik Eskandarian.[1][2]
