Naugarh is a Tehsil and the district headquarters of Siddharthnagar district in Uttar Pradesh, India. It is one of the five Vidhan Sabha constituencies in Siddharthnagar district and has been renamed Kapilvastu.
Demographics
As of the 2011 India census the total population of Nuagarh was 8,931.[1][2] Males accounted for about 53 percent (11,570) and females 47 percent (10,361) of the total population.
Transport
Naugarh railway station (station code–NUH) is located on the way to Gorakhpurfrom Gondavia broad gauge of Indian Railway and Buddhist circuit road, the transport facility of Uttar Pradesh. It is connected to Gorakhpur via National Highway 29 and State Highway 1A.
