The National Library of Moldova (Romanian: Biblioteca Naţională a Republicii Moldova) is on 31-August-1989 Street in Chişinău. It was founded on August 22, 1832. The Director General is Elena Pintilei.
The architect of it was A. Ambartumian. In front of the National Library there is a statue of the poet Vasile Alecsandri by Ion Zderciuc.
