Naldham House is a heritage-listed shipping office located at 193 Mary Street, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

History

The building was built initially in 1864 but substantially rebuilt in 1889 for the Australian United Steam Navigation Company.[1]

In 1915, the firm MacDonald, Hamilton and Co. took over the building and gave the building its name. Naldham was the firm's telex address, derived from a subset of their name MacDonald Hamilton.[2] This firm was an agent for a number of shipping, insurance and trading companies, including the Australasian United Steam Navigation Company.[3]

Heritage listing

The building was listed in the Queensland Heritage Register in 1992.[1]
