Nadir Haroub Ali, also known by his nickname Cannavaro (born 10 February 1982 in Michenzani, Zanzibar) is Zanzibari footballer who currently plays for the club Young Africans FC. His nickname is in reference to the way he plays the game as a defender similar to Fabio Cannavaro.[1]
Career
On 13 August 2009 left Young Africans FC of the Tanzanian Premier League[2] who played from 2006 to 2009 on loan to Vancouver Whitecaps Residency,[3] formerly played one season in the Zanzibar Premier League.[4]
International career
Haroub is also member of the Tanzania national football team[5] and played 6 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches,[6] formerly played for the Zanzibar national football team.[7]
