Nachiket Dighe (Marathi: नचिकेत दिघे Nacikēta Dighē) born November 11, 1987) is an Indian actor and dubbing voice actor, who dubs in Hindi, Marathi, and English. He is best known for his Hindi voice-dubbing of Rupert Grint's role as Ron Weasley, in the Harry Potter film series. He is the official Hindi voice dub-over artist for Kevin Jonas and Toby Amies. Despite that Jonas and Amies are in different age groups, Dighe is able to perfectly match the quality of their voices when it comes to dubbing their roles in Hindi. He is also married to Rucha Dighe, who is also a voice actress. They have been in a marriage since November 29, 2013.

He's even known for voicing the characters Buford van Stomm and Jeremy Johnson in the Hindi dubbed version of a famous animated show Phineas and Ferb and for being the Hindi voice of Tracey Sketchit in the first Hindi dub of the Pokémon anime, and Ash Ketchum in the second Hindi dub.

Personal life

After completing Bachelors in Engineering, Nachiket did his post-graduation with MBA in Marketing from Mumbai University.[1] He is Sangeet Visharad in Tabla from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya and has taken training in Hindustani classical music, vocals.

Acting career

Nachiket Dighe started his acting career in sixth grade.[2] As a child artist Nachiket acted in various advertisements and serials. His first serial Meethi Meethi Batein was a sitcom starring Sachin Pilgaonkar, Nirmiti Sawant, Niki Aneja Walia, Neha Pendse and Niyati Rajwade and aired 52 episodes for a year on DD National.

He played the character of Bipin Bukalwar in Lagi Sharth,[3] and Wrong Mauritius[4] both movies of Children's Film Society, India. He played the son of Vikram Gokhale and Neena Kulkarni in the 2002 multi-starrer Marathi feature film Aadharstambha which included prominent actors from the Marathi film industry like Dilip Prabhavalkar, Lakshmikant Berde, Sandeep Kulkarni and Atul Parchure.

Dubbing career

Nachiket Dighe started his career of voice-dubbing foreign media at the age of 11 in January 1999, by voicing cartoons, anime, animation and live series in Hindi for various channels.[5] He was the approved Hindi voice for T.J. Detweiler in Recess, Jimmy Neutron in The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, Tino in Disney Weekenders and Eddie in Lloyd in Space. In anime, he was the Hindi voice of Tracey Sketchit (Kenji) in the Pokémon anime of the first (and more memorable and widely viewed) Hindi dub by Crest Animation Studios (Seasons 1-4) and Sound & Vision India (Seasons 5-16) from early 2003 until late 2013. In 2014, a second Hindi dub has been made in-house by UTV Software Communications for Hungama TV where he was hired to play the role of the main protagonist, Ash Ketchum (Satoshi) in that dub.

He is the official Hindi voice-dubbing over artist for Rupert Grint's role as Ron Weasley, in the Harry Potter film series, second film onwards after it was passed from a Indian voice actress by the name of Rupali Surve Shivtarkar who voiced him in the first movie. He performed along with his colleagues, Karan Trivedi (second film till the fifth film later replaced by Rajesh Kava) voicing Harry Potter, and Rajshree Nath (Later replaced by Parignya Pandya third film and onwards), voicing for Hermione Granger, for the Hindi dubs of the film series.
