Myrath, formerly known as X-Tazy, is a tunisian progressive metal band originally formed in 2001 in Tunisia.

Biography

Myrath (ميراث, meaning legacy), a metal band from Tunis, Tunisia, started out as a teenage cover band formed in 2001 by guitarist Malek Ben Arbia (who was 13 years old at the time).[1] Over the next few years the band would develop their style towards progressive metal, and have appeared at festivals. The band have given their music the label of "Oriental Metal".

Their first album Hope was released in September 2007, and their second, Desert Call, in January 2010. Myrath filmed their first music video for the song Merciless Times from their third release Tales of the Sands.

In 2015, Myrath announced an upcoming album in 2016, and launched an indiegogo campaign for fans to support the shoot of their new video clip. The band released a trailer under the name "Believer", the expected title of the music video's song, and reached over 80% of their campaign goal in only one month. The music video for "Believer" was released on January 28, 2016.
